A second curfew has been declared in the Cizre district of the southeastern province of Şırnak amid operations to apprehend members of the "terrorist organization," the Şırnak Governor’s Office has stated. The latest curfew comes less than 48 hours since the controversial last curfew ended.
The curfew is scheduled to begin from 7 p.m. on Sept. 13 until further notice, the governor’s office added.
The first curfew declared on Sept. 4 in Cizre was lifted on Sept. 12, after leaving the locals deprived of health and funeral services and access to food for days, according to witnesses and photographs from the town.
