Şebnem Ferah to sing at Scorpions concert in Istanbul
ISTANBUL
The world-famous German rock band Scorpions will take the stage in Istanbul as part of its 50th Anniversary World Tour, while Turkish rock singer Şebnem Ferah will make an appearance at the concert to be held on July 12 at KüçükÇiftlik Park. The band’s songs “Still Loving You,” “Wind of Change,” “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” “Send Me an Angel,” “No One Like You,” “Always Somewhere,” “The Zoo” and “In Trance” are among their most popular after releasing more than 20 albums during their long career.
Rolling Stone magazine has described Scorpions as “the heroes of heavy metal,” while MTV called them the “ambassadors of rock.”
In 2010, Scorpions announced their farewell tour in support of that year’s “Sting of the Tail” album. Then came 2013’s “MTV Unplugged” recording and a tour behind that.
When the band released an album in 2015 partially comprised of songs from the 1980s they had in their vault, the group referenced their non-retirement by naming the set “Return to Forever.”
Tickets for the Istanbul concerts are available at Biletix.
