A Lebanese journalist abducted by a rebel group in northern Syria said he was “under house arrest... and in good health” in an amateur video distributed through his employer on Oct. 28.“I am the journalist Fida Itani, and I am being held under house arrest by the Northern Storm Brigade in Aazaz,” a man identifying himself as the hostage said. “And I am in good health.” Itani is shown standing outside a small house in the countryside, with the words “Northern Storm Brigade” painted on its walls. Fida Itani works for private Lebanese television channel LBCI, which said it contacted one “Abu Ibrahim, who confirmed that Itani is in the custody of the Aazaz rebels.” A Turkish journalist is also trapped in Syria.
