A new exhibition displaying unique photos of Istanbul opened Nov. 2 at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (ISG).
The exhibition, “Bu Şehr-i Istanbul” (This is the city of Istanbul) includes photos taken by photography artist Tahsin Aydoğmuş, according to a statement by Shell & Turcas, the exhibition’s sponsor. The event’s opening was attended by Deputy Istanbul Gov. Bekir Ergök, Shell Turkey Chairman Ahmet Erdem and ISG Chief Executive Officer Gökhan Buğday. Shell & Turcas also published a book titled “Bu Şehr-i Istanbul” last year, Erdem said. “We believe that opening this exhibition at the Sabiha Gökçen Airport will make a great contribution toward promoting the beauty of Istanbul.”
Sabiha Gökçen Airport serves as a high-quality living area for travelers, Buğday said. “Our goal is to make travelers spend their time in the best way. This exhibition is an example of this goal.”
The exhibition features 40 black-and-white photos selected from Aydoğmuş’s book of the same name and will be open to visitors at the airport until the end of the year
