Rooster giving birth puzzles villagers in Black Sea province of Sinop

A rooster giving birth has shocked locals in Turkey’s Black Sea province of Sinop, according to media reports on March 3.
“Of course, this is not a normal encounter,” veterinarian Hakkı Apaydın was quoted as saying.
“It is not possible for a rooster to ovulate as ovaries need female reproduction organs and female hormones to develop. Only a chicken has those,” Apaydın added.
As a possible explanation for the seemingly biologically impossible incident, he suggested that the eggs produced by the rooster probably lacked yolk.
