Rain causes flood in southern Mersin province

Many houses and businesses were flooded on March 3 due to strong rains overnight in the southern province of Mersin. Locals struggled to drain their homes and businesses in the city.

The rain started to pour down in the evening and continued in the morning in Mersin.

The firemen helped some locals drain the water out of their houses, while some others had to clean their property themselves.

Some locals applied to the local administration offices to determine the damage to their property. The meteorology officials said the rain falling into a one-square-meter area was 69.8 millimeters, while adding the rain would continue until March 6.
