Public offering income jumps in 2013

Turkish companies have raised more than 60 billion Turkish Liras ($27 billion) through public offerings in 2013, marking raise of over a quarter from the previous year.According to data provided by Borsa Istanbul, the total revenue yielded from 18 initial public offerings (IPO) and one secondary public offering at stock exchange amounted to 60.278 billion liras at the end of 2013. The total revenue earned by the public offering was 47.9 billion liras in 2012.
The largest public offering was Turkey’s largest real estate investment company Emlak Konut’s secondary public offering, which received a demand of 2.3 times the actual offering, earning 3.22 billion liras.
