Property sales promise high revenue
ANKARA - Anatolia News Agency
The Turkish government expects a substantial amount of revenue from real estate sales to foreigners, said Turkish Environment and Urban Planning Minister Erdoğan Bayraktar yesterday.“There is demand [to purchase local properties] even now from western and northern Europe, Gulf countries, even from the Far East,” he said following a meeting on a draft law easing the conditions for foreigners to acquire property in Turkey at the Parliamentary Justice Commission.
Noting that the world had become integrated, globalized to the utmost degree and knitted in terms of communication and transportation, he said, “If we perceive the world in this context we see that in developed countries with high self-confidence, property sales to foreigners are conducted much more easily.”
