Pozitif to build new venue

Event organizer Pozitif Group is gearing up to open a new arena or concert center with a capacity of 7,000, according to daily Hürriyet. Pozitif will partner Turkmall, the manager of the “Forum” shopping center chain, to build the 12,000 square meter arena in Ayazağa Istanbul. The arena is expected to be completed by 2013.

While Pozitif confirmed that the arena would be built in Ayazağa, the company did not provide further details, as negotiations were still pending. Turkmall also said that talks were still ongoing and that further details would be disclosed at a later date.

Pozitif has been active in the entertainment industry for 20 years and has a record label “Doublemoon Records,” which it established in 1998. Pozitif also owns the live performance venue Babylon in Istanbul, as well as Babylon Lounge and Babylon Aya Yorgi.
