Police use pepper gas against BDP supporters

Police released pepper gas on a group of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) supporters who gathered for a meeting in Istanbul today to support prisoners on hunger strike.More than a hundred policemen used pepper gas in an attempt to disperse the group after they began a sit-in protest. The group of nearly 30 people then ran down surrounding back streets to escape the gas, but police pursued and continued to release pepper gas.
Two people have been reported injured.
