Police confiscate 130 kilograms of cannabis wrapped in diapers

Turkish police have seized 130 kilograms of cannabis after stopping and searching a truck in the western province of Bolu.Police officers from the Bolu Police Directorate of Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department chased the truck, which was headed from the eastern province of Van to Istanbul, before the truck was stopped on the highway near Istanbul and searched for drugs with the help of a dog named “Sezar.” The dog reacted after sniffing boxes of baby diapers in the back of the truck. The police opened the boxes and found the cannabis, which had been placed in the diapers in an effort to conceal it.
A total of 130 kilograms of cannabis and a small amount of smuggled tobacco were found in the truck.
The police arrested the truck driver, identified by the initials N.G., and his wife, identified as H.G, and took them to the police station to take their testimonies. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
