PM suffers mental fatigue: CHP leader
ANKARA
Main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has harshly criticized Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s remarks, in which he accused the CHP leader of siding with Syria’s Baath regime and Israel.Arguing that Erdoğan’s statements were a result of his “mental fatigue,” Kılıçdaroğlu described Erdoğan as “the whipping boy of the Middle East.” “He has been completely defeated due to his attitude, behavior and policies. Now, he is making efforts to create a hero from a defeat. Sad to say but the whipping boy of the Middle East cannot be a hero,” Kılıçdaroğlu said yesterday in a written statement. Speaking at a party meeting in the central Anatolian province of Kayseri, Erdoğan blamed Kılıçdaroğlu for siding with Syria’s Baath regime and Israel instead of supporting Turkey. “ [Kılıçdaroğlu stands] shoulder to shoulder with Israel’s values, and the Baath regime,” said Erdoğan. k HDN
