PKK militants fire rockets at district governor’s office in eastern Turkey

A group of outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants opened fire with rockets and machine guns at the district governor’s office in Bahçesaray in the eastern province of Van late on July 6.The group dispersed after soldiers returned fire.
Two rockets hit the office private office of the district governor.
Sources said the attacking group consisted of five or six PKK militants.
Security forces launched an operation in the area after the attack.
