PKK militant killed for allegedly planning attack on security point in Turkey’s Tunceli

An outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) militant who was allegedly about to attack a security point was killed by police in the eastern province of Tunceli on May 17, the Tunceli Governor’s Office said in a statement.The statement said the militant who arrived at the security point located on the entrance of the Tunceli- Ovacık highway with a stolen car had disobeyed police officers’ stop warnings.
“The suspect who was in the car attempted to open fire at security forces. The suspect was shot to be neutralized after he disobeyed the warnings. There were no casualties or damage on the security forces,” it added.
