Turkish man turns old van into ‘pleasure’ venue
A man in the northern Turkish province of Trabzon has turned an old van into an observation terrace to enjoy the great view in winters with his friends. Click through for the story in photos...
Local media reported Dec. 18 that Fatih Turan, 40, had initially intended to build a winter garden in front of his house in Trabzon’s Esiroğlu neigborhood.
When one of his friends told him that he put his old van on sale, Turan decided to buy it and refurbished it. The van, which was produced in 1985, was put in its new place on top of metal scaffold with the help of a crane last week.
“It didn’t finish yet. We will furnish the inside like an oriental room. We will make a balcony. And we will use it as a room to spend good time with friends around a stove in winters,” he said.
The van is now high enough to have a beautiful view of the mountains behind his house.
“Mine is only about pleasure. I don’t have any commercial aim here. Anyone who comes to our village can stay here if they would like,” the man added.
