Speaking to Demirören News Agency, Yücel Okutur, the head of a regional tourism association, said officials have been waiting for support from the Culture and Tourism Ministry to actualize a restoration project presented to TÜBİTAK in 2010.
Located in the Aegean province of Muğla’s Dalyan resort town, the ancient city dates back to some 3,000 years and is also inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage Site tentative list.
