The district of Kadıköy on Istanbul’s Asian side has been hailed as one of the top 50 coolest neighborhoods in the world by Time Out magazine. Click through for the story in photos...
“Hundreds of new bars, cafés, restaurants, design studios and shops have opened here, making the area a must-see for those really wanting to get a feel of how the city hangs out these days, with a more relaxed vibe than the bustling European side,” the magazine wrote about Kadıköy.
Time Out recommended Kadıköy’s Mythos for food, Arkaoda for drink and Sarnıç Boutique Hotel for accommodation.
“With a view of the Marmara Sea and the historical peninsula, the sweeping Moda coastal park is an unbeatable hangout spot for a picnic on the grass,” the magazine said, while suggesting a must-do for Kadıköy.
