Huge fire engulfs multiple factories in Istanbul
A massive fire broke out early Oct. 25 in a factory in Istanbul’s Esenyurt district, Metropolitan Municipality said. Click through for the story in photos...
The blaze started at an open pallet storage area and it engulfed a textile factory and an aluminum factory nearby.
The cause of the fire was yet unknown.
Nearly 200 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
Esenyurt Mayor Ali Murat Alatepe said that the fire was put under control at 9.15 a.m. and there were no casualties.
