Local media reported on Oct. 31 that the three-year-old dog, a “Kangal” breed named Kezban, gave birth to five puppies last month at a farm in Yukarı İhsaniye village.
A sheep had also given birth two to lambs on the same day but the mother refused them.
According to the reports, Kezban adopted the lambs and started to breastfeed them with her own puppies.
“Kangal dogs are different animals. They are so truehearted. The lambs also behave as if Kezban is their biological mother,” shepherd Şaban Erol said.
