Bursa’s digital photography contest PhotoFest begins accepting submissions.

“Traces of humanity and the city” has been decided as the theme of the second international Bursa photography festival, PhotoFest. The digital photography contest has begun accepting submissions.

Participants may submit up to five photos through the websites www.insanliginizleri.org and www.kentinizleri.org. The deadline for applications is Sept. 10.
 
Prizes total 7,000 liras and 7,000 euros
In the “Traces of the City” national contest, the grand prize is 2,000 Turkish Liras, while the second and third prizes are 1,500 liras and 1,000 liras respectively. The Bursa City Council Award and Jury Special Award will both be 500 liras. Three honorable mentions will also be awarded 500 liras.

In the international “Traces of Humanity” contest, the grand prize is a gold medal and 2,000 euros, while the second place winner will be awarded a silver medal and 1,500 euros, and the third place winner will be given a bronze medal and 1,000 euros. Six honorable mentions will be awarded 250 euros each. The Bursa City Council Special Award and the Jury Special Award will both be 500 euros.

The festival is sponsored by the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality City Council with the cooperation of the Bursa Photographical Art Society and the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
