‘Perfect weather for bombing,’ says Russian weathergirl about Syria

A Russian weathergirl described the weather conditions in Syria as “perfect for an air bombardment” amid the country’s ongoing air operations targeting Syrian opposition groups and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

“It is slightly cloudy but this does not cloud the flight as it does not affect guided weapon systems,” said the weathergirl, working for the state-run Rossia 24 channel.

She also included experts’ remarks that “the timing of the operation was excellently chosen.” 

This is not the first time that the same weathergirl has forecast Syria in an unconventional way. On Oct. 1, the channel hit headlines after adding Syria to its forecasted cities as if it was just another Russian region.
