Orduspor has become the second team to be relegated from the Spor Toto Super League, after it suffered a 4-2 reverse to Bursaspor on May 4.The Black Sea outfit took the lead twice, but failed to hold on to its advantage and was downed by two goals from Stanislav Sestak.
Orduspor has 29 points, leaving it marooned in 17th place in the standings and above only Mersin İdman Yurdu, who was relegated two weeks ago.
Ordu made a bright start to the season and became the first team to beat titleholder Galatasaray with its 2-0 win on matchday six. The team, then coached by Argentinean veteran Hector Cuper, was in the top four until the 10th matchday with 17 points, but could only add three more points in the next seven weeks.
The team parted ways with Cuper last month, but interim coach Cevat Güler has also failed to stop the bleeding.
In the other matches, Kayserispor beat Trabzonspor 2-1, while Gençlerbirliği and Kasımpaşa played out a 0-0 draw.
