There are many similarities between the current crisis in Turkish-U.S. relations and the one that Turkey and Germany appears to have put behind.
“China has turned Xinjiang into ‘something resembling a massive internment camp, a sort of no-rights zone,’” Gay McDougall, a member of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination said on Aug. 10.
