One soldier killed in PKK attack in eastern Turkey

One Turkish soldier was killed in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) mortar and mine attack in the Şemdinli district of the eastern province of Hakkari on Nov. 26.

The attack was carried out in the Derecik Gerdan Tepe military base area in Şemdinli and army started a wide operation in the area against the militants.
