One soldier killed in Hatay in Turkey’s south

One soldier was killed on April 18 during an operation targeting a group trying to illegally enter Turkey from Syria, according to security sources.
The incident took place in the Yayladağı district of the southern province of Hatay after Turkish security forces on patrol intercepted a group trying to enter Turkey from Syria, added the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on the media.
The killed soldier was initially wounded by gunfire from an unknown source.
After being rushed to Hatay State Hospital he succumbed to his wounds.
