ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said Oct. 16 that there was no problem with the withdrawal of heavy weapons and “some radical groups” from a demilitarized zone in the northwestern Syrian province of Idlib and the process of the Idlib deal with Russia is still underway.
“This is an ongoing process. The process of the opening of two highways through Idlib will continue until the end of the year,” Çavuşoğlu said at a press conference with his Turkish Cypriot counterpart Kudret Özersay.
