No bids for sugar factories

The state asset sales agency in Ankara will now re-examine the sale of the five factories belonging to Türkiye Şeker Fabrikaları, an official at the agency said Friday.
"In this global environment it shows the difficulty in privatizing assets," said Yarkın Cebeci of JPMorgan Chase & Co. "You have to have valuable assets and accept a low price if you want to sell them."
