New Jersey hosts charity concert for Van

The Turkish band Kardeş Türküler and Grammy award-winning musician Arto Tunçboyacıyan gave a concert in New Jersey to benefit Van earthquake victims.
The concert was organized by the Pir Sultan Abdal Culture Association. All ticket proceeds from the performance at the Dwight Marrow High School Concert Hall will be given to Van’s earthquake survivors.
Kardeş Türküler performed in Turkish, Arabic, Kurdish, Armenian and Azerbaijani with the accompaniment of Tunçboyacıyan.
Tunçboyacıyan will be on percussion and will sing for the audience. Tunçboyacıyan appeared on more than 200 records in Europe before arriving in the United States, where he went to work with numerous jazz legends, including Chet Baker, Al Di Meola, and Joe Zawinul, while also collaborating on a semi-regular basis with Paul Winter and the Earth Band.
Speaking during the concert, Pir Sultan Abdal Association president, Zeki Yeşilyurt said: “In these hard times we need to be supportive and that’s our aim in this concert.”
Yeşilyurt added that they want to share the pain that Van the victims of the earthquake
