Ramart Platform, which will be held for the first time with a new perspective in art, brings together 99 artists of different disciplines at the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum in Istanbul from May 4 to 12.

Bringing together different disciplines in order to integrate contemporary art with the awareness of the past, Ramart Platform will feature exhibitions, conversations, Experience Transfer Platform, workshops and “Ramart Talks” during which notable names from the world of culture and arts will attend under the moderation of Pelin Çift.

Experience Transfer Platforms will take place between May 6 and 10 at 5 p.m. every day with the participation of artists whose works are exhibited in the exhibition.

Ramart Board chair Alpay Tarhan said that the project was a new art platform and the most comprehensive multidisciplinary art event that will be held during every Ramadan. He said that the project aimed at promoting Turkish art and artists in international platforms and bringing international artists together in Turkey to offer culture and arts to wider audiences.

The curator of Ramart Platform 2019, Beste Gürsu, said that works by 99 artists from 22 countries will be featured in the event. Among the artists are Devrim Erbil, Mercan Dede, Timur Kerim İncedayı, İsmail Acar, Jale Yılmabaşar, Ahmet Güneştekin, Şükrü Karakuş, Seval Özcan, İrem İncedayı, Kadir Akyol, Hikmet Barutçugil, Hüsamettin Yivlik, Savaş Çevik, Sıtkı Usta (Olçar), Fatih Özkafa, Sabah Arbilli, Mohammed Atiq Al Dosari, Mala Wassem, Ahmad Nooh, Zeina Abbara, Naser Al Aswadi, Ghaleb Hawila, Luigi Ballarin, Ahmet Nejat, Jahongir Ashurov, Antonhy Samaniego, Soraya abu Naba’a, Bahman Panahi and Simon Alexander Adams.
