Museums Week to be celebrated at Pera

In celebration of Museums Week, which is taking place May 18 to 24, Istanbul’s Pera Museum will be free for all visitors today. Also, on May 19, Youth and Sports Day, the museum will be free for all students. The first 200 students who visit the museum on this day will be given presents from the museum’s Young Catalogue series.The Pera Museum will also celebrate Museums Week with a special night on May 19. Free events will be held from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. and will be open to public.
The exhibition “Goya: Witness of His Time,” which has been at the Pera Museum since April 20 and presents selections from Francisco de Goya, along with the other exhibitions, “Anatolian Weights and Measures” and “Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics,” will be open to visitors until 12 a.m. that night.
