Militants killed in blast while setting explosives

Suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have been killed in a blast while placing explosives in the southeastern province of Hakkari's Yüksekova district, daily Hürriyet has reported.

District Governor Yasin Tikdağ said the men who were killed were trying to place explosives for a future blast.

The identities of the killed remain unknown and investigations into the issue are continuing.

At least 11 people were killed and four others injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes in southern and eastern Lebanon on Monday, the Health Ministry said.
