MHP accuses PM of ‘treacherous project’
ANKARA - Hürriyet Daily News
The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) yesterday gave credit to allegations the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) collaborated with Kurdish militants, charging the probe had confirmed the government’s “treacherous project” to divide Turkey.“The break-up of the country, the division of the nation has been carried out with the government’s hand. If this is confirmed in the ongoing legal process, no one can save Prime Minister [Recep Tayyip] Erdoğan and his aides from standing trial at the Supreme Court,” MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli said in a written statement.
Bahçeli said the MİT chief and the other officials must respond to the prosecutor’s summonses and testify.
Meanwhile, MHP’s Oktay Vural addressed Erdoğan with the Arabic phrase “men dakka dukka”, which the prime minister frequently uses and means that one who makes others suffer will one day suffer himself. Erdoğan had recently used the expression for Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.
