Megadeth to rock fans at Küçükçiftlik park

Hi-Voltage, a new festival for metalheads, gathers the American thrash metal giant Megadeth with Trivium and the Turkish bands Kurba, Comma and Gitarizma at Küçükçiftlik Park for a night of headbanging fun. Megadeth, who rocketed to fame in the 1980s, is one of this summer’s long-awaited musical acts in Istanbul. Megadeth, along with Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax performed on the same bill for the first time in 2010 at Bemowo Airport in Warsaw, Poland. It was the first performance played by the band as a part of Sonisphere Festival series. The group continues to travel around the world to play various metal music festivals. One performance in Sofia, Bulgaria on June 22, 2010 was sent via satellite to cinema theaters. This was the first time that Megadeth and Metallica had played the same stage since June 1993, and only the second time since 1983 that Mustaine, Hetfield, and Ulrich had shared the same stage.
