Mayor detained in KCK raid in Turkey's east

Police conducted an operation today as part of the investigation into the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), daily Radikal has reported.
Anti-terror police are reportedly continuing to search the Van Municipality building and Mayor Bekir Kaya's house in the eastern province.
Police detained 10 people, including Kaya and others from the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), during the operation.
Many of those of who have been detained in the continuing operation have been accused of “making propaganda on behalf a terrorist organization.”
The KCK is the alleged urban wing of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
