Master of flamenco guitar to give a rare performance

Accomplished Turkish flamenco guitarist Doğan Canku will be meeting with fans with a rare Istanbul performance project at club Alt. The artist will give four concerts at the club in January, starting with the first performance on Jan. 4. The concert on Jan. 4 starts at 10:30 p.m. and tickets are available at www.biletix.com and the club’s main booth. Canku started his music career by receiving training and education on cello and piano at Ankara State Conservatory in 1958. He shifted to classical guitar in 1974 and shortly after managed to become hailed as one of the most gifted flamenco guitar players in Turkey at the time.
