Masked attackers throw Molotov cocktail in public bus in Istanbul’s Beyoğlu

Three masked people attacked a public bus in Istanbul’s central Beyoğlu district with Molotov cocktails late Sept. 16.No casualties were reported though the bus was damaged in the attack.
The three masked attackers threw a Molotov cocktail inside the bus and left a package in front of it before they escaped the scene. The incident took place at 9:00 p.m. Sept. 16 on Piyalepaşa Street in Beyoğlu when the attackers stopped the bus which runs between Şişli and Yenikapı on the European side of the city. After the passengers left the bus, the attackers threw a Molotov cocktail inside and broke the windows before fleeing. A team of bomb experts were called in to defuse the package, which was found to contain newspapers rather than explosives.
