‘Magnificent Century’ to compete in Canada

Turkish TV series ‘Magnificent Century’ will compete in the ‘Continuing Series Programs’ category at the Banff World Media Festival that take place in Canada in June.
Popular Turkish series Muhteşem Yüzyıl (Magnificent Century) is preparing to compete at the Banff World Media Festival, which will take place in Canada in June.The series will compete in the “Continuing Series Programs” category at the festival. Other series that will compete are “Boardwalk Empire” (U.S.-HBO), “Once Upon A Time” (U.S.-ABC), “Hell On Wheels” (Canada-AMC), “Rang 1-Lucky 6” (Belgium-VRT) and “Le Gentleman” (Canada-TVA).
For over three decades, the Banff World Media Festival has brought together top actors to Canada from across the evolving media landscape, attracting over 150 Development Executives and a wide-ranging cross-section of television and digital media professionals from around the world.
The festival aims to feature in-depth spotlights on key international territories, and delivers awards in 26 different categories. Organizers have announced that Larry King will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award that recognizes an individual who has enriched the world of entertainment.
