‘Lunar’ at Elgiz Museum

The Elgiz Museum is presenting a new site-specific installation on its mezzanine floor titled “Lunar” by the artist SARP as a part of the neighboring events of the 15th Istanbul Biennial, curated by Huma Kabakcı.

With massive survey images of the moon, produced by NASA in the 1960s, the new series produced by the artist consists of these images projected on female bodies, activating the museum’s space with an immersive environment. 

“Artist Talk” with the curator, Kabakcı, will take place on Sept. 15 at 11:30 a.m. “Lunar” will be on view through Oct. 11.
