Los Angeles’ Turkish Film Fest calls for submissions

Preparations for the second Los Angeles Turkish Film Festival are underway as the competition has begun accepting applications. The competition is only open to short films; submissions should be no longer than 20 minutes. Fiction and animation will will be included in the competition, and applications will be accepted until Nov. 1, 2012. The festival will take place Feb. 28 to March 3, 2013.Further information about applications is available at www.latff.org. In addition to the short films, full-length Turkish films will be shown in Los Angeles, California after the semifinals. Last year, the festival hosted Derviş Zaim, Semih Kaplanoğlu, Yeşim Ustaoğlu and Alin Taşçıyan.
