Livio Minafra to take stage in western province

Livio Minafra is giving a concert in the western province of İzmir tonight within the scope of İzmir Jazz Festival. The concert starts at 8:30 p.m. at Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center and tickets are available at Biletix booths. With a sound that blends old and new, energy and lyricism, Italian pianist Minafra is creating a stir around the world with jazz compositions that breathe the spirit of his Italian homeland. The son of famous jazz trumpeter, Pino, and harpsichordist Margherita Porfido, Minafra has inherited his parents’ love of improvisation and Baroque-meets-modern music. Having recently formed his quartet, Minafra employs joyful and playful themes in his music with strong references to progressive rock and Balkan rhythms.
