Lira may suffer from crisis spillover

“Markets will soon gain the impression that the central and eastern European help package has been rejected for budget concerns,” a team led by Hans-Guenter Redeker, the London-based chief currency strategist for BNP Paribas, wrote in a report published on Monday. “There is a substantial risk of seeing the crisis spill over into the lira and the rand.”
