Karsan says it offered best bid for busses

Turkish vehicle maker Karsan has lodged bids for two ongoing tenders opened by the Istanbul Public Transport Authority (İETT), the company said yesterday in a press release. The tenders regard the purchase of 200 buses that run on natural gas and 250 articulated buses.The company statement said media reports published on July 25 quoting Karsan Executive Director Jan Nahum as saying the company won both tenders “have led to comments that may cause misunderstandings.”
Karsan offered the best bids, which was notified to all bidders, the press release said, adding that it was not right to compare current buses in use and the buses subject to the İETT tenders.
