Jordan set for biggest drill

The Jordanian army will stage a massive joint military exercise dubbed “Eager Lion” in May, according to state-run news agency Petra.The exercise, which is expected to the largest in the military’s history, aims to prepare the country to handle strategic threats and terrorism and includes 17 nations. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Lt.-Gen. Misha’al Mohammed al-Zabin discussed preparations with the US commander Gen. Thomas D. Waldhauser.
