Istanbul welcomes first Victoria’s Secret store

U.S.-based lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret has opened its first European branch in Istanbul.The store, housed in City’s, a shopping mall in Istanbul’s high-end Nişantaşı neighborhood, opened its doors to smiling female patrons Nov. 30.
A second store will follow at the İstinye Park shopping center later in December, according to reports by the Turkish media.
Victoria’s Secret owner The Limited Group has partnered with Turkey’s Park Bravo Group and the Shaya Group to bring the franchise to Turkey.
Initially the stores will only sell perfume and accessories, which is Victoria’s Secret’s strategy when entering new markets.
