Istanbul to host 7th Turkish-Arab ties forum

The seventh Turkish-Arab Economic Forum (TAF) is slated to be held June 29 and 30 at the Istanbul Four Seasons Bosphorus Hotel with over 600 participants expected to attend.TAF was organized under the auspices of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Turkish Foreign Ministry, DEİK, the Arab League General Secretariat and the Turkish Prime Ministry’s Investment Agency.
Libya will be the most important panel in the forum as it is the birthplace of the Turkish construction sector’s overseas boom with a current project portfolio nearing $17 billion, said Murat Efe the founder and coordinator of TAF.
Arab restructuring offers opportunities for investors
“We have been working since 2004 to promote cultural exchange and investment to the Middle East and Arab world,” said Efe, stressing that recently the Arab Council member countries had increased their investments in Turkey. He noted that countries that the Arab countries undergoing restructuring have offered new opportunities for Turkish investors.
