Istanbul Chamber of Industry elects new head
ISTANBUL
Erdal Bahçıvan has been elected the new head of Istanbul Chamber of Industry (İSO) May 29, replacing Tanıl Küçük, who remained in the office for 12 years.Küçük also ran in the elections but his list was beaten by 18 votes. Following the announcement of the results, Bahçıvan vowed to transform İSO into the “most powerful lobby of Turkey’s industry.”
“The Istanbul Chamber of Industry should act like an on-duty pharmacy regarding daily problems. We will respond immediately to the problems of industrialists but at the same time we will have projects of 40-50 years,” he said.
