Iranian spies arrested with Turkish passports in Libya

Six male Iranian alleged secret agents were arrested in Trablus, Libya with Turkish passports as two of the documents listed female names, daily Hürriyet has reported.Libyan authorities also realized that the passports were much older than the photos in them.
Two agents were taken for interrogation by Libyan authorities and the Iranian Embassy was informed of the incident.
The embassy has confirmed that the arrested people were Iranian citizens.
The arrested people said they had pretended to be Turkish citizens to be received sympathetically by locals.
According to claims, the Iranian agents had planned to demonstrate pretending to be Turkish citizens.
