Industrial confidence improves in February

Confidence in services, retail, and construction industries rose in February, according to a monthly survey by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).The Services Industry Confidence Index rose by 1.5 percent to 97.3 points, from 98.8 in January, while the Construction Industry Confidence Index rose 1.3 percent to 89.6 points from 88.4 last month.
Confidence in the retail industry witnessed a strong 6.6 percent increase, rising to 99.7 points in February from 93.5 in January.
The confidence rise in the service industry is based on demand expectations for the next three months, TÜİK said.
