Hollywood reacts to Turkey’s Twitter outage

It wasn’t just Turkish celebrities who reacted to the government’s decision to block access to Twitter in Turkey - they were also joined by a number of well-known Hollywood stars.

Russell Crowe, who was recently in Turkey shooting a film, was among the stars who seemed surprised by the move.



The Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood has been tweeting about the outage since its inception last night. Wood also retweeted a comment from Turkish actress Didem Erol, who harshly criticized the Turkish government over the decision:
