Greek Cyprus holds drill

Greek Cyprus and Germany carried out an aeronautical search-and-rescue exercise in the sea south of the island on April 9, the Cyprus news agency reported.The exercise was coordinated by the Greek Cypriot Coordination Center for Search and Rescue.
Defense Minister Demetris Eliades said the exercise was a success following a similar exercise with French forces last month.
The exercise was carried out in the morning and lasted five hours. Greek Cyprus participated in the exercise with three helicopters, patrol ships and medical staff, while Germany participated with three ships.
